HOW TO PREPARE FOR PAPER-1 OF CAPF

Study Plan for paper-1

Students often say CDS & CAPF exam are similar. But this is not reality. They both are quite different in terms of Patterns & types
Differences between The CAPF & CDS exam
CAPF Examination
CDS Examination
It includes 2 papers in written examIt includes 3 papers in written exam
You have to clear physical test & UPSC Interview to pass itYou have to clear SSB (By Indian Armed Forces) to pass it
How ?
Just go through the exam papers of last three years (click here to download) & make a concept on that. Find out, where the question are coming from, what kind questions they are asking, how to approach and tackle them.
We have already made a table to give you an idea about the questions criteria & to save time. Just go through this.

* Geography includes world & Indian both. But World Geography has a very little contribution.
It’s clear what are the subjects you need to know to clear this exam. Therefore you need some specific book because “Gain Maximum From Minimum Effort”
Market Funda
There is no single “comprehensive” book for the CAPF exam. All we see is some useless publishers copy pasting chapters from other books meant for Bank PO + add some GK material + give last 3 years question papers + some Interview Concepts & market it as SSC/CAPF/CDSE/MPSC guidebook (All In One). These books include “all-in-one” GS + Aptitude materials + Interview. So a fresher thinks he got the ‘Raamban’ & buy it at the earliest. These books lacks the concept Totally.
In GS Section they add some materials (from other books) & some MCQ’s (that already came in previous examination). So students think that the book is very useful as UPSC questions have come from there. In aptitude Section they give 3-4 formulas with 5-10 solved questions sums with 20-25 MCQ’s.
In interview Section they provide some mock interview and add some very nonsense ideas which looks pretty good. Freshers think “Is book ko ratt dala to life jhingalala”
What you really need to do :
Go through the NCERT, NIOS textbooks. You can download the complete books at ourdownload Section (Click Here). You don’t need to go through all the chapters that we have mentioned in our CPFcrack Notes section because we will provide you the Important chapters (Click here to download) which includes all the areas of questions that UPSC ask in their examination.
Polity & Economy are the subjects which increases your lead in the examination. For Polity you need Indian Polity By M. Laxmikanth & for economics you need Indian Economy by Ramesh Singh.
For maths You need Quatitative Aptitude for competitive examination by Abhijit Guha (Click to buy from Flipkart) (You don’t need to buy Quantum CAT by Sarvesh K. Verma because that includes chapters that never come in CAPF exam).
Oxford Student Atlas (click to buy from Flipkart) for every subject except maths. It’s really very very Important.
You can also go through GS manual Paper I by Manohar pandey (Clik to buy from Flipkart)but it’s not necessary as far as CAPF exam is concern.
We Have divided the subjects into 7 parts & you can make your own parts according to subjects.
  • Part I : Science (Physics+chemistry+Biology)
  • Part II : Maths (Maths+Reasoning)
  • Part III : Geography (Indian+World)
  • Part IV : History (Ancient+Medieval+Modern)
  • Part V : Polity
  • Part VI : Economics
  • Part VII : Current Issues (National+International)
Now We have divided these parts into priorities so that you can understand the importance of subjects.   (P = Priority)
P 1 :  Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV. Approx 20 questions have come from from each of these parts in 2013. So value of P 1 is 80.
P 2 : Part V, Part VI. 30 questions have been come from each of these parts in 2013. So the value of P 2 is 30.
We haven’t included Part VII into the priorities because it can’t be completed if you go through this once or twice (some publishers provide year books) before the examination. You need to update this everyday & this part has same value in Paper II & Interview.
Strategy for P 1
SCIENCE (1 chapter each subject = 20 days)
